I Did It!!

Well, I finally did it! I had a mammogram today. And at my age, I'm embarrassed to admit, that it was my first. :( I have put it off, all these years, because I thought it would be really uncomfortable and quite frankly, just plain embarrassing! But, I got a really nice technician, who made me feel very much at ease. And as far as any physical discomfort, nothing to it.

So, now here is the part where I get preachy. I am working very hard this year at learning how to take care of myself, and putting myself first. Because I have finally figured out, that if I'm not okay, I can't possibly take care of anyone else.

I think all too often, we women don't take care of ourselves, physically, spiritually, or emotionally, because we're busy taking care of everyone else. But, if we don't take care of ourselves, we may not be around for our loved ones. So, if you haven't been taking care of yourself, start today.

AND, if you're 40 or older, and you haven't had a mammogram yet, call your doctor and schedule an appointment. You'll be glad you did.

Lazy Weekend

As you can see, I had a very lazy weekend. Spent alot of time sitting in my big, comfy chair watching tv. Of course, when I do that, Molly has to join me. We keep trying to tell her she's a LAB dog, not a lap dog. She doesn't believe us. ;)

A Great Day

Today was a great day!! Not the usual stay at home and clean day, but an out of the house, have a good time day! I went to visit my sister Cindy, and we ended up doing what we do best. We went shopping! First, we hit the scrapbook store and spent too much money, then we hit Taipan Trading and spent too much money. We got lots of fun things. What a great day! Thanks Cindy!

An Ordinary Day

Having a blog has led me to a very surprising discovery. I have a boring life!! My big excitement for today was grocery shopping and vacuuming! I'm going to have to do something about that. But, in the meantime, here is a great quote that I love.
You can't make footprints in the sands of time if you're sitting on your butt.
And who wants to make butt prints in the sands of time? --Bob Moawad

Recent pages

These are some of my most recent scrapbook pages. I really need to get my mess cleaned up and get some more pages done. I've really been moving at a snail's pace lately.

Greetings from my ever-changing, little studio. This is my first ever blog and I'm really excited. For some time now, I have enjoyed following many blogs out there, and thought it would be fun to have my own.
