Technology: A Wonderful Thing

Technology is an amazing thing. I learned how to do something this week, (actually, I stumbled upon it) and it has me thinking about how easy we have it with all the wonderful modern conveniences we so often take for granted.

Like things that bring us enjoyment and entertain us.

Things we find it hard to do without. Like when the power goes out....we don't know how to function in our house.
For instance, why is it that I can wake up in the middle of the night, stumble to the bathroom in the dark and pee....and yet when the power goes out, I have to take a flashlight with me to accomplish the task at hand?

Then there are those wonderful things that make our life easier when it comes to keeping our homes clean.

And make food storage and preparation a breeze.

Or how about those conveniences that not only entertain us, but help keep us informed.....

....or help us keep in touch......

.... and more. I think the computer is one of the most amazing things ever. You can talk to your friends, find new friends, blog, shop, play games, pay your bills, check your bank activity, even find a kidney on ebay. The list goes on and on.
Now, here's the cool thing I finally figured out how to do! (did I mention that I'm tech challenged?)
When this post went up this morning, I was still asleep in my bed, at our cabin, sixty miles from home, where there is no phone, no computer, no internet!
It only took me ten months of blogging to figure out that I can 'schedule' posts.
Isn't technology wonderful?

Great post you shared with us today. It really does give us much to be thankful for doesn't it? I myself have always wondered how we ever managed to survive without computers and the internet. The internet has opened a whole new world to everyone around the globe.

Glad you finally figured out how to use the scheduling option for posting your blogs. I preschedule many of mine and it makes it much easier to do 2 or three at once and have them all ready to go, even when you are going to traveling. It's a huge time saver as well.

Hope you had a great weekend !!
