I'm Back....

I'm working at getting back into the swing of things here in blogland. Still having computer problems, so it's going a little slow. I also started getting sick last night. You know how it is, when it rains it pours.

I'm still in a state of disbelief over my dad being gone...it was sudden and unexpected. And I miss him so.

I appreciate the sweet and wonderful words that you have left in my comments. I feel very blessed to have my blog friends.

Don't miss a chance to say 'I love you', give a hug, or just spend quiet time together with loved ones. You never know what tomorrow will bring.

Dear Debi, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad, I have not been blogging much this past week and just found out now. I know how well you and your sister were taking care of him , I am sure he just loved his girls so very much :) God bless him, great photo of the both of you, and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Welcome back Debi.
You're quite right about not missing the chance to say I love you, etc. My sister and I weren't brought up with that attitude, coz mum hadn't been taught it and so on down the generations, so it was always hard to do. But when a friend died quickly a few months ago from cancer (she was around the same age as mum) it started me thinking about those missed chances and I made myself tell her that I loved her one day! But it got easier each time and I now tell her often. Feels good. :)

What a wonderful photo that probably holds a wonderful memory of that day for you... We are here for you as there are such ups and downs when missing a family member especially a parent or child. We miss your blog and understand all at the same time. Take care and God bless you... hugs, Lori

oh debi,

i am happy to see you're back. i lost my dad almost 18 years ago and i shake my head in disbelief as i think it's been that long. it's sad. i miss him and i try to tell my boys funny little stories about him so they'll have a glimpse of his personality. i still can barely talk about it.

on a lighter note, i am planning to go to a big antiques show over the weekend. if you are still interested in our swap (and it is okay if you aren't) just send me a shopping list, okay?

warmest thoughts,

Lots of hugs and I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad in 1982 and I'm still not over it. He was just 47.

The pain eases with time, it really does.
