In My Studio

Awhile back, I found this cute little wicker
and wood shelf at the thrift store. I finally
got around to doing something with it.

I painted it pink (surprise!) and added
some vintage wallpaper to the back.

Totally loving the way it turned out.

I had fun pulling together sweet
little things to put in it.

Favorite Tools

Here is one of my favorite tools. In fact,
honestly, I couldn't live without it.
It's the Adirondack Alcohol Ink Applicator
by Tim Holtz.

Velcro on the bottom of the tool, holds
the little white felt pieces. It is designed
to use with the alcohol inks, but I use
it with my ink pads. I just rub it on the
pad and brush it around the edge of my
paper or whatever else I want to ink the edges of.

And this is another cool tool. I love these sweet
clothespin clips from Tinkered Treasures.

I use them to hold my papers together instead
of paper clips. They hold more paper
than a paper clip and they're alot cuter!

I'm having a good day today...
hope you'll have one too!

Hi Debi, Those clothes pin are sooo cute. I make them with vintage sheet music on them and then magnetize them. I include them as a sweet give-away in The Vintage Nest packages.

Hi Debi,

I just love your idea of using the vintage wallpaper on the back of the wicker shelf. I have a shelf just like yours which I found earlier this summer and now you've inspired me to give it a little makeover. Sadly, I don't have any vintage wallpaper, but I'm sure I can find a small roll of new paper that will work just as well. Thanks for a great idea!!

Debi! I have a shelf *just like* that and I got it from the thrift store! I LOVE what you did with yours. So pretty! I stuck mine in the bathroom until it was ready for a re-do and unfortunately, my kitty totally tore mine up! G-rrrrr! It evidently was a delightful scratching post for her! *I personally believe* ☺ that she was paying me back for having grounded her to the bathroom at night for being naughty in other parts of the house!
