Pulling an All-Nighter

It all started innocently enough.

After not feeling well all day yesterday,
I started feeling better last night, about 11 o'clock.
So, I decided to make a couple of altered roses.

When I finished those, I thought I'd just
'frost' the boxes for the cute 'cakes'
from Cassandra's tutorial.

While they were drying, I worked
on a couple of Easter swap gifts.
I can't show them yet.

Then, as I looked around my table at all the fun
Easter/Spring goodies, I had pulled out
for projects, I got excited to do more.

And, by that time, the sun was up anyway.

Why go to bed now?
So, I pulled out my energy source....

and got ready to try my hand at faux cupcakes.

Hmmmmmm....I'm not sure if I'm any better
at faux baking than the real thing! LOL

But, I'm having fun!

I am taking Cassandras classes also and also in the swap. I love her classes. Swaps are always alot of fun.
I don't bake very well either but you look like you are doing very well with those faux cupcakes. Can't wait to see what they look like when they are finished. I really enjoy your blog. Carol

Hi Debi..

first of all I want to say that the package I missed wasn't your cuff...I figured that would come in regular mail....it turns out that I won a book from a tv station show...how cool is that!?

anyhow..I absolutely love your post! it is soooooo delicious, even though it's faux and therefore inedible...it's still so delicious, you know!!!
looks like you had some manic fun..and I'm happy that you're feeling better!

ciao bella....keep creating...but try to sleep too!

Wow Debi, you are one busy lady, everything looks wonderful. I took Cassandra's class too, but have not had time yet to make them. Can't wait to see them finished. I am trying to get caught up on swaps. Are you in Ms. Rhea's basket swap?. I am too, I have started mine, but have to keep moving. As I get older I just don't know where time goes. I guess I should pull an all nighter. Ha Glad you are feeling better. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Terri

I think I'm going to come visit so I can stand right next to you and some of your energy can rub off on me.
I cannot believe you stayed up ALL NIGHT! OMG I'd be worthless the next day!
I haven't had a chance to make my cupcakes yet - I guess I better get a move on if they are going to be done in time for spring huh?
I would love to sit in your studio - I could peek around in there for HOURS!

Debi Huntsman, you've outdone yourself!
I just received your gift in the mail! It is beautiful and I did an entire post on it! Be sure to come by and have a look, even though I am fully aware that you already know what it looks like because you made it in the first place! lol

thanks so very much for your kindness....

also, could you email me your address...I can't for the life of me figure out where in the UTAH you are! I'd like to send you a formal thank you as well.

Hi Sweet Pea...I have not attempted the faux cakes yet...but I am ready!! How many did you get out of the 'batch'? I keep wondering that.

I knew I was going to love your blog as soo as I saw the Marie A pictures and I wasn't disappointed, you have a lovely blog. I am now a follower so will look forward to coming back.
Your roses are gorgeous and your cuffs truly beautiful. I've often thought about trying to make my own but not sure i'd have the patience to make them as detailed and pretty as yours.

Have a great weekend
