Sneak Peeks and Fun Stuff

I'm falling behind on my blogging.
I've been busy cleaning and sprucing
up my studio, getting ready for this.....

Still lots left to do, I'm having fun though.

If you haven't been to Karen's blog,
go and check it out.
Big fun, big inspiration....
and BIG prizes!

A little sneak peek.
A sweet blogging friend is having a baby....
and I did something I've never done before.

I'll show you more after she receives it.

And, right now, I'm working on this.
I'll show you more when it's finished.

And.....sweet Carmelina is giving away
a framed print of one of her beautiful paintings!
Check out her blog.

In my last post, I mentioned that I'm starting
another stitch along project. Since it's such
a big one, I've started a second blog just for it.

There is a link on my right sidebar.
You can check out my squares there.

Do something beautiful and creative today.

Swap Gifts & Other Projects

These are the gifts I sent Maria
in The Secret Garden swap.

I forgot to take pics before shipping
it off, so Maria kindly let me borrow hers.

I filled an altered tin with goodies for her creating.

I also included a copy of the book The Secret Garden.

I made this cuff using a vintage hankie,
lace, tatting, jewelry and buttons.

I've been making flowers this week.

I especially love making them with lace.

My second sampler is finished and framed!
This one has 49 squares, done in my fave colors.

And, I'm joining Amy in another stitch along.
The theme is I'm Counting My Blessings.

The squares will represent the blessings in my life.
I'm doing 100 squares in a 10x10 square.

Go to Amy's blog for more details.

The Secret Garden swap

Sarah, from My So Called Junky Life,
hosted a beautiful swap called
The Secret Garden, inspired by the book.
That's one of my favorite childhood stories,
so I couldn't pass that one up.

Yesterday, a package came all the way from Australia,
from my mega-talented partner, Maria.

When I opened it up, this beautiful box
just took my breath away!
It was filled with luscious goodies.

This stunning altered matchbox was
also filled with fun little pretties.

Look at this beautiful tag!

I was seriously swooning as I discovered
each and every sweet morsal.

She couldn't have chosen more
perfect gifts to send me, if she
had known me personally.

I haven't been able to bring myself
to put anything away yet, I just
want to look at it all a little longer.

Thank you so much Maria!

It's All About Marie

This week, I'm working on Marie inspired projects.

Big surprise, huh?

I made this jewelry pouch for a swap.

I'm not a seamstress, so I was a little nervous
about doing this swap, but I love a challenge.

I stitched a pretty, lacy hankie to the inside.

Then added a little satin rose and a gold heart.

I'm actually quite pleased with the way it turned out.

I've also been working on ATC's
for another swap. I think I've gotten
hooked on these little things.

That's it for today.

I've got a crown to create!

A Little TLC for my Studio

I bought a few things for my studio....
decided to do some cleaning up
and a very mini facelift.

This is what I have done so far.

Here is a before shot (minus the mess)
of my pink work table.

After seeing Elyse's sweet polka dot
dining room table, I could NOT resist.

So I went right to Oilcloth Addict,
and got these sweet pink polka dots.

And, ta da! I love my 'new' table.

I also bought this sweetest bag from Stefanie.
I love it sitting on my table.

Look how sweet it is embellished
with a hankie and millinery roses.

I gave this box a facelift using this
to-die-for gorgeous Cath Kidston
wallpaper that I bought from sweet Elyse.

Thanks for sharing your wallpaper Elyse!
