I Think I'm Back!

After a few days at the cabin, I think my burnout
is over. I spent the week just relaxing, and creating.

My new sewing machine came right before we left,
so I took it with me, to try it out.

It's quiet and smooth, a real dream to sew with.

I worked on some more pages for my French/Marie Book.

Using the beautiful fabrics, flowers, laces, etc.
that I received in the Marie ephemera swap
has been so much fun!

I also created this little cake for Lisa while away.
This is for the Let Them Eat Cake swap,
and it's filled with little goodies.

It just feels so good to be rested up and ready to go!
Now, I just want to go on a creating binge!

Hey, this is the first time I've stopped by your blog since the new look (I usually read it on Google Reader)... It's really cute!

But I came to make this comment: I so wish I could go on a crafting binge.... maybe when I get my space back.

So glad you rested and rejuvenated! Nothing like a few days with NO WORRIES and no commitments to get back in the swing of things. I know we'll be seeing more gorgeous stuff come flying out of your studio . . . I am LOVIN' that cake by the way . . .

Janome sewing machines are great! I love mine even though it's nothing fancy, I'm only a beginner ;) It's so great to be able to have a break, recharge your batteries, your inspiration fuel and get back in there full of energy. Go girl!

Oh I love that cake! I do wish I was the LISA you are sending it too!! Can you do a tutorial on how to make the faux icing? I tried one and used plaster/spackling but mine cracked really bad. Any suggestions? Thanks so much! I do wish I could find a pretty swap to be in. I can't ever find one though! She is a lucky girl to be swapping with you! Glad you are back! I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful creations! You are such an inspiration!!
Have a great day!!!
