The Kindness of Bloggers

After 2+ years of blogging, the kindness of bloggers
still never ceases to amaze and delight me!

I recently received a pretty, handmade envelope in the mail.
In it was a sweet note from the wonderfully Creative Carmelina.

She included two beautiful thank you notes/envelopes
that were made using one of her gorgeous rose paintings.

She sent them 'just because'.

You made my day Carmelina!!! What a sweet gal you are!
I hope you don't mind if I don't use them, but simply
hoard them. They are just too pretty to give away!

Thank you so very much!!

Then this week, I received a box filled with
the most beautiful laces and trims. They came
from Katie. She was my very first swap partner.

She was going through her supplies and destashing....

and thought I might like to have her laces and trims.

Curiosity got the better of me, and I started counting.

I got tired after measuring 125 YARDS!!

And I still haven't finished unpacking the box!!!!

In her sweet letter, she said she hoped her package
would surprise and delight me.

Surprise and delight?

Try shocked, stunned, overwhelmed, thrilled, giddy.......

Katie, I am blown away by your sweet generosity.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Sweet 'n' Shabby Roses

I love blogland!!

I appreciate the support, generosity and
friendship that I have been shown. And, your
sweet comments really brighten my day!!
So, I want to share my sweet gift with you.

I am going to put together two pretty packages
of the beautiful laces and trims I received from Katie.

Next Monday, October 4, I will draw two names
to send a package to.

Leave a comment to be entered. If you leave
a second comment telling me that you have
shared this on your blog, I will
enter your name two more times.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Creating Vintage Charm

Do you have your copy yet?

I've spent the last two days taking in every tasty morsel
of this beautiful new magazine published by Sonia Crouse.

We're celebrating the release of her work of heart
by sharing how we create vintage charm.

There are those who like to shop in high-end stores, but not me.
My favorite place is thrift stores and antique shops.

I love the charm that gently used items add to my home.

I love old doors and windows....

 cabinets filled with sweet treasures....

 painted pieces....

and big, over-stuffed, quilt covered cozy furniture.

I love special pieces from family members, now gone....

as well as new found treasures.

Blended with new items, these treasures work together
to give my home the vintage charm I love.

Thank you Sonia for sharing your talents with us!

Uh Oh.....

I think I feel an all-nighter coming on!!

I Forgot To Show You

My dad used to joke with me and say
I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached!

He knew me so well.

It's the only explanation I can think of for how
I could have forgotten to show you this beautiful
little pastry shop box I received from Melanie.

I just love the colors she chose to use
and all of the wonderful details.

The amazing details inside this little patisserie
just blow me away!!

Just look at this cute little shelf lined with sweet
cupcakes...all handmade by Melanie.  *squeal*

And I just want to cozy up on one of these little seats
and have some tea and a sweet treat.

Can you believe that little tart?

And look at these sweet treats.

I still squeal every time I look at this!

Is this not the sweetest thing you've seen?

Thank you again Melanie...I absolutely love it!!!
