Christmas Stress

I love CHRISTMAS....I really do.

But, I am feeling the stress.

Trying to get ready for a party on Saturday,
wrap gifts, clean the house, plan food, etc.

So, I took a little break this week and did something
that always helps me unwind.

I CREATED something....a little collage.

Then, I got STRESSED again....in a BIG way!

I bought this beautiful Cath Kidston wallpaper
to put in my bathroom. So, last week, I stripped the wall.

This week, I am trying to put up the new wallpaper,
and I am having nothing but trouble. The strip
you see here is the only one up yet. :(

Now, what is it that makes a person decide
to wallpaper, even one little wall, in the same
week they are HOSTING a party?

BIG STRESS

So, I did the only thing I could.

I started another PROJECT.

I'm stitching along with Alison on the
25 Days of Christmas Stitchalong.

Will it be finished by Christmas?
I doubt it.

Will it help me to de-stress?
Most definitely.

Your post made me smile, thank you for that. I can picture you wrapped in that gorgeous wallpaper, looking for those fantastic shocking pink glasses, whilst making a shoppinglist. Then sit down and stich. Amazing.

I love your blog and will certainly visit again.

Happy Holidays.

Ahhhh...another soul sister. I once painted a room at midnight when I had a big party the next day....yep...not sure WHY we do this to ourselves...but OH the great feeling we get when we get it all accomplished. It is called multi-tasking. BTW- I LOVE that wallpaper...hope you share a pic of the bathroom when it is all done! Hugs- Diana

I think we're all feeling it this year, Debi! I love your de-stressing methods--that's what I'm doing, too! It helps for a while at least!

Wishing you luck with all you're doing--have fun, my friend! Crank up the Christmas carols and finish that bathroom! (Love that CK paper!)

That wallpaper will be gorgeous, Debi. I'm all for starting projects to de-stress. I've got 3 going right now!

Oh Debi, I feel the same way, I have so much to do and so many things I want to do, have to stop crafting to do other things. If I don't create every couple of days, I stress out even more. Good luck with your wallpapering and your party. Sometimes I wish Christmas was every two years, it comes too fast. Have a great week. Hugs, Terri

LOL!!! If you look back at some of my Christmas posts from last year, you will see the photo where I was in the middle of taking wallpaper down. I thought at the time I was the only one crazy enough to be in the middle of a project over the holidays. I see now, that I am not. ;-)
Next year, let someone else have the party. Just enjoy your Christmas.

I can't believe you are trying to wallpaper! That is hilarious! But I'm so excited you started the stitchalong - your squares are darling! Here's to de-stressing this holiday season!
