Mes Belles Chaussures

princess pink shoe - available online

Ooh la la! Look at that beauty!

Today, it's all about shoes.....beautiful shoes!

We're joining Cassandra at My Artful Adventures
to take a look at, and talk about beautiful shoes....
Mes Belles Chaussures.

And no one is more excited about it than Violet Ann!
I didn't have the heart to tell her she has no feet.

She's all dressed up for the party...she even
borrowed my beautiful Christmas pin I bought

Whenever I see beautiful shoes, I long
for the days when I could actually wear them!

IF I could get my feet into any of these beauties,
I'm sure I would fall and break my neck!

I love this pair of shoes. They belonged to my
mother-in-law, who wore them in the mid 1940's
when she was a young woman.

I also love beautiful paper shoes. I have a little
collection of them from sweet blogging friends.

But these days, this is my choice of shoes.

Yes, I am a full-fledged slipper girl. But,
then I thought, 'why can't they be pretty?'

So, I dressed them up!

I hope you will bear with me while I indulge Violet Ann.
She wanted to model my new slippers. *sigh*

We're so happy you joined us today.

I've put together a little giveaway gift. I've included
a paper shoe I created, and a few pretties
for you to decorate your own beautiful shoe.

Leave a comment to be entered.
I will draw a winner on Monday night.

If you haven't been to Cassandra's blog yet,
visit her to see more beautiful shoes.

What a delightful post. Violet Ann is beautiful even without feet.

Your shoes are wonderful!! Back in the days when I was a disco dancer I wore shoes like these. The higher the better.
I also wore them to work and to shop and I just loved high heels. Unfortunately they caused me to have a bunion on my right foot and now I can't wear them at all :( I love high heels ...sigh

Papers shoes are so cool. I would love to enter to win the kit. Sign me up.

Hey Debi! Thank so much for joining in! I really enjoyed your post! So cute! Poor Violet Ann. No we must not break the news to her about "her feet"!

She surely modeled lovely for you. I know what you mean about the heels! I never had a chance to wear any. I dislocated my knee a few years back, and it has never been right since, so no high heels for me.

I personally am IN LOVE WITH YOUR SLIPPERS! I simply must give that a try!!!!!

What a wonderful post and giveaway! Thanks again! xox Cassandra

Oh, I just love all these shoes and your slippers are so cute! I used to wear heels when working outside of the house and have some pairs I just can't part with but I'd break an ankle for sure if I wore them. I'm a flip-flop gal!

Are you going to the Marie Event? If so, I can't wait to meet you!

Oh ya...you'd better believe I looked down at my own ugly beige slippers after seeing yours....fit for a Queen! slippers! and thought...

oh my goodness something needs to be done about this....

so, if you read today's post on my blog, you'd see that I was supposed to be busy with reading, but now....perhaps I'll 'SLIP' some creativity in my day!

What fun!...and it's rather bittersweet to gaze upon fabulous girly shoes.......It doesn't seem so long ago that I schlepped around in high heeled mules.....then suddenly that was over. How I miss being able to dress the foot in a thing of beauty. But we can still collect them......and adorn our slippers!! I was just thinking of doing that very thing to my cream colored Isotoner ballet slippers this morning when I put them on...and then I see you had done that and I giggled.....we girlies think alike. We might not be able to wear our high heels any longer, but we refuse to give it ALL up.
