Postcards & ATC's

More fun swapping gifts. I made these fabric
postcards for a swap in the Marie Antoinette group.

What a fun project this was!

And, ATC's with a sweet SPRING theme.

I'm staying positive and hoping
that it's SPRING somewhere!

Tea Cup Tuesday

Today, I'm sharing a new tea cup
I bought a few years ago.

I love the shape of the cup. It has
such a pretty handle and sweet little feet.

And the roses are so beautiful.

I love the shape of this little tea pot.
I don't know how old it is, or
who made it, I just love it.

It has a pretty handle and spout,
and just a little sprinkling of gold
on the lid and pot.

The Queen's Hand Mirror

I'm hosting a Queen's Hand Mirror swap
in the Marie Antoinette group.

This is the mirror I made for my partner Terri.

This is the beautiful mirror she made for me.

I love the beautiful trims and flowers.

And look at that gorgeous rhinestone
necklace she used to frame the mirror!

I love my beautiful mirror Terri,
thank you so very much!

Spring Tussie Mussie

We had a tussie mussie swap
in the Marie Antoinette Mail Art group,
and my partner was Melanie.

This is the beautiful tussie
she made for me. *swoon*

I love the gorgeous laces she used,
and all of the details are so beautiful.

The sweet little bird, and the pretty
colors have got me ready for spring!

I love it so much Melanie!
Thank you!

Tea Cup Tuesday

A few days ago, the sweetest surprise
came in the mail. This beautiful teacup/saucer
and plate was sent to me by my dear,
sweet friend Terri Gordon.

She is one of the most wonderful
and thoughtful people I know.

And she is so amazingly talented.
I'm lucky enough to have several
of her beautiful creations in my home.

This beautiful set is a Crown Staffordshire
made in England, and the colors are
so vivid and delicious.

Every time I pass it, I stop and swoon.

Thank you Terri. I absolutely love it,
and will treasure it always.

Visit Terri and Martha for more beautiful teacups.

Pink Shoes

Found these cute pink shoes in the thrift store
and knew in an instant what I would do with them.

Thrift Store Finds

I found a few fun pieces of clothing
while in the thrift shop the other day.

I love to cut them up and use the fabric.

I can totally see this jacket as part
of an upcoming Marie Antoinette project.

Violet Ann looks so pretty
in this sweet springy dress, I may
have to let her wear it for awhile.

I love this soft pink dress, with its mother of pearl
buttons and pretty embroidered roses.

Tea Cup Tuesday

Hubby and I just returned from a short, but
fun road trip. I was able to visit a few
antique and thrift shops where I found this
little sweetie to add to my small creamer collection.

One of my favorite finds was this large platter,

because it matches the smaller platter
that I bought a few years ago.

Of all my dishes, this is my favorite pattern. The colorful,
dainty flowers make my heart go pitter patter. I love the
yellow and soft green, and the beautiful pattern.

The name of the pattern is Mildred, and was made
by the Mount Clemens Pottery Company
during the 1930's and 40's, right here in the USA.

And, since this is my favorite pattern,
it makes perfect sense to have
the cup and saucer in my collection.

Isn't this just the sweetest pattern ever?!!
