Tea Cup Tuesday

Hubby and I just returned from a short, but
fun road trip. I was able to visit a few
antique and thrift shops where I found this
little sweetie to add to my small creamer collection.

One of my favorite finds was this large platter,

because it matches the smaller platter
that I bought a few years ago.

Of all my dishes, this is my favorite pattern. The colorful,
dainty flowers make my heart go pitter patter. I love the
yellow and soft green, and the beautiful pattern.

The name of the pattern is Mildred, and was made
by the Mount Clemens Pottery Company
during the 1930's and 40's, right here in the USA.

And, since this is my favorite pattern,
it makes perfect sense to have
the cup and saucer in my collection.

Isn't this just the sweetest pattern ever?!!

Be sure to check out more beautiful tea cups
at Terri and Martha's blogs.

All your new finds are so pretty! It is so fun to go out and poke around shops. Even more fun when you find something you have been looking for. Lucky you to find a matching platter. I love this pattern too. The tea cup is so sweet! The pinks, blues and yellows are so perfect.

Hi Debi, I am so glad that you had a great trip, oh what beautiful finds. I love your platters, the colors are really pretty. The tea cup is beautiful. You know I live about 35 miles from Mount Clemens, I did know that there was a pottery company there. Thanks for sharing, you learn something knew each day. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Terri

I just LOVE your dishes and tea cups in the darling pattern. So much so that I have a small platter in that design. I glued a crystal candlestick to the bottom and made a cake plate out of it. I bought mine for 99 cents at Salvation Army!!!

Hi Debi: I collect sugar and creamers too. You are the only other person I have ever meet that did the same thing. Love what you picked up on your little trip. It sounds like you had a great time. Thank you for being a part of Tea Cup Tuesday. You make it that much more special. Blessings, Martha
