making Changes

Well, the Christmas decorations are all put away,
and I've been slowly working on putting things back together.

I've been making little changes here and there, around the house,
and thinking about other changes I want to make in 2013.

I'm not one to make resolutions. I never stick to them,
and only end up being frustrated with myself. But, I'm thinking
that if I were to choose a word for the new year,
it would be 'CHANGE'.

I've been thinking about my priorities a lot lately.

I'm so far off track with what I really want to be doing,
I honestly don't know how I got here.

Arthritis and fatigue have slowed me down,
and it just takes me forever to accomplish anything.

So, why would I spend valuable time on things
that are not at the top of my priority list?

That is one of the biggest changes I'm going to work on this year.

And then of course, there are the regular 'beginning of the year'
changes we always seem to think about. Losing weight,
getting healthier, blah, blah, blah.

But, I really do need to work on that, too.

So, here's to a new year of changes....

to spending time on what's important, letting go of what isn't,
and getting off my butt and accomplishing something worth blogging about.

Wishing you an amazing and creative year!

hugs, debi

Well said, Debi. I've been feeling the same way...I've come to the conclusion that I'm not making anything anymore that doesn't make me absolutely happy. Nothing for companies anymore, if I can help it...know what I mean? Just for the sheer joy of it.

Here's to both of us and the changes we wish to make this year!

I have been feeling the same way and want to create what I love doing and get focused on what gives me the most joy and inspiration not what ever the trend is at that moment. I guess get focused is the word. Great post!

Change can be good or bad...I guess it all depends on how we embrace it! You sound ready to take on the new year. One thing for sure is that you are way ahead of me. My outdoor decorations are still up. It's just been too cold outside to get out there and take them down! (*_*)

With you lovely photos, I could "DITTO" this blog. I've been in a complete "slow motion" for too long. I am getting rid of clutter, reoganizing and trying to do for me for a while. I need to get away from the stress.
Best Wishes to you, enjoy the moment, and thanks for the beautiful inspiration

I hear you, Debi. Sometimes I feel like I am in one of those hamster wheels and can't get off. Good luck with CHANGE. xo Diana

You read my mind. I am trying to find something to write about.
I am retired or unemployed however you choose to look at it.
My husband and I traveled for a summer and then again last Fall.
I feel adrift with nothing worthwhile going on.

I totally agree with you. I am getting older as well and feel alot like you. I also would like to make this a year of what is really important to me. Maybe I will not do so many UFO's and give them away. Kathleen
